Burdock Root Tea - Burdock is a root which is found in Europe and Asia. Has many prescriptions, and used in many herbal medicines. The root is sweet and has a sticky consistency. Traditionally, burdock has been used as a remedy for measles, arthritis, tonsillitis, viruses like colds, sore throat, and as a diuretic. In modern times, Burdock is also used in the treatment of tumors and treatment of many serious health problems.
Burdock root is often used to purify the blood by removing toxins that accumulate in the blood. And can be taken orally or used topically to treat skin conditions. Also, burdock a diuretic or soothe arthritis pain. Chinese traditional healers used burdock root in combination with other plants to a treatment for colds, measles, and sore throat and tonsillitis making. Burdock root was also popular in Japan as a source of vitamins and other nutrients. However, this use of burdock root still needs to be systematically tested.
